Bio
Marlen Kanagui-Muñoz, Ph.D. is a bilingual and bicultural licensed psychologist practicing in California’s Bay Area. She received her doctorate in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Multicultural Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia where her research focused on strength based approaches for working with the Latina/o population.
Dr. Kanagui-Muñoz is passionate about teaching, mentorship and scholarship. She has practiced in integrated behavioral healthcare for over 10 years specializing in culturally attuned and trauma-informed therapy.
Currently, she is faculty member and training director in the Masters of Science in Counseling program (MSC) at the Kaiser Permanente School of Allied Health Sciences in Richmond, CA.
